There were a number of tower blocks to this project, the tallest of which was 21 storeys. A range of precast products were used across the various blocks, including twinwall, precast flights, composite landings and solid landings.
The precast flight system was chosen due to the significant programme benefits offered over traditional cast in-situ stair flights. The stairs also provided an immediate safe passageway between levels.
The Invisible Connection system was used on all finished landings.

The precast wall solution provided by Oran Pre-Cast was ideally suited to this building project. The offsite manufacture reduced the amount of labour and raw material required on site. It also helped in minimising the duration of the construction programme. Coupled with this the superior quality control associated with factory production conditions ensured unrivalled concrete surface finish quality and superior dimensional accuracy.
Key design features included:
-
False joints to architects specification
-
Just in time delivery to the hook
